| Summary: Resident bands in 1966 included The New KB Band (who became The KB Orchestra in December) The Red Hawks, The Golden Crusaders, The Hurricanes & The Shadettes. They all headlined and supported touring acts many times. There was no dancing on Saturday afternoons in 1966 until it resumed for a short time in 1967. New attractions included an Over 21s Club (started in June) and a couple of Midnight Balls (commencing unsurprisingly at midnight) after the regular evening's dancing. In another new venture, The Dunfermline Folksong Club took up residence in the Ballroom's bar in November where it remained every Tuesday. On 19th December 1966 the BBC recorded an edition of the highly popular competitive dance programme 'Come Dancing' in the Ballroom.
